After covering the 2007 Stone Cold Steve Austin classic The Condemned in our last episode, we were planning to move on with our lives. In some ways, frankly, we were worried the subject matter was a touch too heavy for our lighthearted podcast. To quote The Condemned, “are we the condemned?” It’s deep stuff. It’s real stuff. It’s a tough conversation to navigate, and we just barely escaped.
But to be honest here folks, even as much as we worry about being “the condemned” (from The Condemned), we also damn well know the first rule of podcasting, that cardinal rule: The audience is king. So as much as we may have wanted to move on, and as worried as we are that we ourselves might become “The Condemned,” well, folks, it seems, we can’t quite move on yet. We can’t move on, because, folks, you, the audience, you folks rose up and demanded it. The ink wasn’t even dry on the last episode when the people started clamoring for us to cover that 2015 Randy Orton classic The Condemned 2.
And so here it is, folks. In this episode we cover The Condemned 2. Folks, it’s a wild ride, and be warned, we might even catch some bad breaks along the way (pun most certainly intended). But we’ll get through it together, folks. We’ll push our chips to the center of the table, and in the end, if we fight together, I believe the answer to the question “are we the condemned” from the film The Condemned will be a resounding no. No, we are NOT the condemned. We are the victors!
