Just a quick, loose episode as we get ready to jump back into our Mr. Nanny coverage.  Why, it’s just two ol’ amigos a-chewin’ the fat, catchin’ up on just about all the gossip around town.  Why, it’s two compadres a-shootin’ the bull, catchin’ up on just about all the lastest gossip around that proverbial water cooler.  Why, it’s two bosom buddies a-gabbin’ like a couple a’ ol’ geese, catchin’ up on just about all the best gossip.

And you, yes you, dear reader, you dear reader just bought yourself a front row seat to it.  You just got yourself a front row seat to a couple a’ peas-in-a-pod a-catchin’ up on just about all the juiciest gossip they can get their little hands on.  And unlike a literal front row seat, where you’ve got to set yourself a calendar reminder (heck, maybe even two), load the family up in the car, drive out the stadium, pay some damned outrageous fee for parking (you know I’m right), park (you know I’m right), walk to the stadium, hope you don’t waste 3 quarters lookin’ for your seat, then leave 3 quarters in just so you can beat the damn traffic…well, for this proverbial front row seat, you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your damn home.  That’s right, you won’t have to set a calendar reminder, because this event is on demand and available at the push of a button.  That’s right, you won’t have to load anybody up in the car, my friend, because this event comes right to you.  That’s right, a stadium, did you say a stadium?  For the birds, I say, ‘cause for this front row seat, the stadium is wherever you say it is.  That’s right, my friend, ain’t gotta pay no outrageous fee for parking at all, ‘cause you don’t have to drive ANY-where.  Park?  Nope, ‘cause again, you will NOT have to use your car or ANY car to get yourself to this front row seat.  Leave after three quarters?  Well, that’s your prerogative, my friend.  But hey, my friend, no need, my friend, no need…‘cause certainly no need to beat traffic if you didn’t drive anywhere for your front row seat.  And secondly, if you leave after three quarters, you just might miss some of those prize bits of gossip from the gossip brothers themselves.  Beat the traffic?  For the birds, I say, again and with even greater force….’cause, hey, if you don’t have to drive anywhere to get to that front row seat, exactly what traffic is there to beat?

Now that I think of it, I will relent a bit on this last point, re: beating traffic.  A bit of an insider tip here, but if you have to commute to work, one of the best ways to pass the time is listen to a podcast.  Makes you drive feel shorter, a bit of a de-stresser if you will.  Now, for a commuter, almost by definition the worst thing about their day is that traffic (you know I’m right).  Makes your day longer, can even be a bit of what they call a “stresser.”  But if you’re listening to a podcast, my friend, well, it can be something I like to call a “de-stresser.” I mean, one could almost say that you’re “overcoming” that source of “stress,” or perhaps even “beating” that stress…and of course, the source of stress being traffic, one could thus argue that when a commuter listens to a podcast, they indeed are “beating traffic.”  Game, set, and match.

Enjoy the show!
